Biography

Real Estate is a natural fit for Re/Max's Giselle Kee Wilson, a born and raised Calgarian and a second-generation Realtor.  With a background in working in her family business - Groups Homes for People with Disabilities, she brings warmth, great listensing skills, patience and passion to all her clients.  And now, with 17+ years in Real Estate under her belt, she brings to the job considerable sales and service and negotiating experience to her clientele, from first-time home buyers to the seasoned pros.


"There's a ton of similarities between real estate and social work," Giselle says.  "they are both services professions and both require great organizational skills and attention to the even smallest of details.  Listening is key; you can't be a good listener if you haven't put your own opinions aside.  Often times, people don't fully know what they want until they are knee deep in the process.  I have to be flexible at all times to accommodate what they are learning about themselves throughout the journey.  


"My styles of sales are not pushy tactics.  If asked, I will offer my thoughts and ideas.  Using my expertise, I will provide what I can to help educate my clients.  But at the end of the day, it's their home that they are buying.  It's their decision to make and it's their investment.  My job is to guide my clients and act as a sounding board in making informed decisions.  Then I help execute their wants and needs."


In her down time, Giselle enjoys traveling with her husband and two daughters.  Together, they enjoy exploring food and wine all over the city and all over the world!  "It would be a dream to learn how to cook a meal in every city that I tour!"  She and her 2 teenagers have recently been introduced to the world of Flying Trapeze.  And today she sits on the board and is one of the owners of the Rocky Mountain Flying Trapeze in Calgary.  


Buying a home?

Giselle enjoys working with first-time home buyers and she's happy to take the time to coach and educate.  "It can be overwhelming and lots of first-time buyers don't know where to start," Giselle says.  '"I pay close attention when workind with my clients.  I look for cues to ensure they are understanding the process from start to finish.  I strive to ensure that communication is clear as it is critical to success when working together.  I tell is like it is and I look to build genuine relationships.  I'm happy to help even after the sale is done.  Call me if you bneed anything - ever...  I'll always be here when you need me!"

Selling your home?

Preparing a home for sale is euqlly a joy for Giselle.  "I enjoy the process of purging and staging and making a house fresh for someone new to start their new lives in."  Preparing a house may include intense detachment, decluttering, staging and even minor renovations.  Giselle jumps right in to add value, for the high impact needed against the competitions. "I will get my hands dirty, but I also have great contacts who work professionally and quickly."  Maximizing exposure is extremely important, she says, "Getting it right the first time is imperative, we want the house to be the best value from the get go - so it sells for the best price in the quickest amount of time.  My ultimate goal is to get my clients where they want to be as fast as I can get them there... AND with the least amount of hiccups."




A skilled negotiator, Giselle is highly motivated, organized and efficient.  She likes to see desired outcomes for her clients and is well accustomed to tending to the legal documents, pouring over fine print and meeting deadlines to get the house sold.  Giselle's clients have found her approach of breaking down goals to the micro steps extremely helpful, as it makes them achievable and individualized.  It creates a road map in which to assist in figuring out how to get their desired outcome in a manageable and efficient manner.
